In response to the wildfires of 2017, Evergreen Valley College provided the seed money to the Foundation for California Community Colleges, which created a statewide wildfire relief fund. This fund was created to collect donations in support of California community college students affected by the wildfires, and the proceeds are distributed through local community college foundations. The donations are for providing affected students with critical supplies and materials such as laptops, cell phones, backpacks, and books, in order to continue their education. Faculty and staff who have lost their homes can also be eligible for support through this fund.
